Tilly Whitfield was left horrified after painful welts started spreading across her body following a boob job.
The 23-year-old Big Brother Australia star took to Instagram to share pictures of her torso covered in red and brown blotches, which she believes are due to her recent surgery.
While scratching her stomach, she said: “I got implants five weeks ago and ever since I have had this rash. I’ve gone to the dermatologist and hospital and done two different steroids. It just clears and then comes straight back. I would be grateful for any advice.”

She then asked her followers for help, adding: “I feel like TikTok is better than any GP at this point. I’m itching and it is spreading completely down my body.” The Australian Government’s Therapeutic Goods Administration warns that a post-surgery rash can sometimes develop as the body adapts to the implants. They strongly advise sufferers to seek treatment from a qualified doctor rather than asking for medical advice on social media.
Tilly, who is known for her shocking antics, admitted in June 2021 that she had injected herself with lead-based ink, causing severe scarring. Her TikTok account gained thousands of followers after she attempted a ‘freckle hack’ she saw on the platform.
Despite the dangerous self-performed cosmetic surgery not causing any pain, Tilly temporarily lost vision in one eye due to reckless acupuncture with needles dipped in tattoo ink containing high levels of lead.
On Todd Sampson’s Mirror Mirror, an Australian TV show exploring social media’s impact on young people, she confessed: “I saw a TikTok viral video on a girl tattooing freckles on her own face at home, and I basically copied her. “They looked cute. I saw other people liking it. I saw people commenting how well it had worked for them.
“So, of course, I thought I could do it. I mean, I did well in Art at high school. Why can’t I tattoo my face? They say just go two millimetres in. So, I was just guesstimating what two millimetres was and going [stab stab] everywhere.”
Tily later confessed on social media that the stunt has cost her “around $10,000” in laser and lightening treatments to reduce the scarring, “which will likely never fade”. Speaking to the New York times about her newfound fame, she admitted: “The main response has been that I’m stupid, and, yeah, I agree.”
