One star of TLC reality show My 600lb Life looks incredible after shedding more than 400lbs – and stripped off on social media to show his “real body”.
Wess Schulze weighed in at 705 pounds when he first sought the help of Dr Younan Nowzaradan. He shed 220lbs on the programme after undergoing bariatric surgery, and kept up with an intense exercise regime to lose even more weight. Now he’s down five jean sizes and is able to wear a seatbelt in the car again.
In a new video posted to Instagram, Wes took his shirt off and donned a pair of black trousers to show the reality of weight loss. Though he still had sagging skin from losing so much weight, he looked a lot happier and healthier as he beamed at the camera, getting honest about his “imperfections”.

He wrote: “Good morning everyone. I wanted to show you guys my body. I wanted to show you every stretch mark, every dimple, every piece of loose skin, every wrinkle. Everything that I have, because every single one of these things that somebody else says is an imperfection is something that I find beauty in right now.

“I did it. I’ve lost 400 pounds. I love it,” he said, showing off his shrinking frame. He even stripped out of his pants to show off the weight loss at his legs, pinching the loose skin at his neck.
In the caption, Wess wrote: “This is my body and it’s beautiful. Unfiltered. Unedited. Real. 400 pounds down. Much more to go; but I can do it and I’m so glad to have each and every one of you with me. Please like, favourite, comment, and share. Let’s grow this community of love and positivity. TODAY IS THE BEST DAY TO LOVE YOURSELF.”

Fans went wild in the comments section, with one praising Wess: “Oh wow I didn’t realise how much you’d lost so far! That is so amazing! You are doing so well.” Another agreed: “This is so beautiful I started crying, thank you so much, I truly am so proud of you and thank you for being so inspiring.”
A third social media user echoed: “I’m just a stranger… but I’m very proud of you and think you are just a lovely human. Thanks for spreading your honesty, your struggles and your joy. We need more of that stuff.” While someone else praised: “You’re bloody beautiful darling. Own it, so many the same. I love your posts. Onward and upward.”

Wess has been sharing his milestones on social media, including the first time he could buckle up his seatbelt. He said last year: “OMG IT FITS! I’ve had this car for four years and have never been able to wear a seatbelt. Small steps towards milestone moments.”
He “freaked out” when trying on a pair of jeans, explaining: “OMG I AM FREAKING OUT. I just tried on a pair of jeans… 11 inches or roughly five sizes smaller than I used to wear! And they are about one size too big!”
