Fern Britton ‘blames Phil Schofield’ for This Morning axe and ‘won’t hold back’ on CBB

Fern Britton is ready to spill the tea on her This Morning exit and she’s pointing fingers at Philip Schofield.

She is reported to be heading into the Celebrity Big Brother house this Monday, 5 March – and with an axe to grind. It’s said that Fern has got a lot to say when it comes to Schofe.

A source told OK! that Fern felt “hard done by” when she left This Morning and is now hoping to tell her side of the story. They said: “She actually blames Philip Scofield for her losing her job and felt he had a lot to do with the fact she got pushed out for a younger model.”

Fern’s not keeping quiet anymore, and she’s ready to shake things up. The source added: “She’s not afraid to speak out now and she’s not taking any prisoners. Viewers can certainly expect fireworks.”

The insider also let slip that Fern, who’s a mum to four and 66 years young, thinks it’s her time to shine again and she’s hoping it’ll relaunch her career. She had a prime spot on telly before leaving This Morning in 2009 after a reported row between her and Phil.

When Fern said goodbye to This Morning, pals at the time said she felt overshadowed by Phillip Schofield.

In 2013, Fern told MailOnline: “I always say Phillip and I had an indefinable chemistry which seemed to work well on-screen, she said. We ‘got’ each other.”

“We enjoyed a laugh. And viewers seemed to warm to that. But, like Morecambe and Wise, we chose not to live in each other’s pockets. We were a great professional partnership but we never went on holiday together.”

That year, she didn’t show up for This Morning’s big 25th birthday party, but she said it was just because she was ‘busy’, not because of any feud with Phillip.

Fern is said to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house – with a line up also rumoured to include rugby star James Haskell, X Factor legend Louis Walsh, and Love Island beauty Ekin-Su Culculoglu.
