Frankie Bridge has found a new hair removal device and she dubbed it as a tool “as close to an in-home beautician as you can get”.
The Loose Women panellist tried Braun’s first smart IPL system — the Braun Skin i.expert — for a personalised hair removal treatment which promises visible results in just three weeks.
She showed fans what’s inside the blush pink case and said: “So excited that my new Braun Smart IPL has arrived!

“It’s the world’s first connected system, pairing to its own app so you can personalise your hair removal and be smarter about smoothness. Such a game changer!”
Inside the case, Frankie found the laser hair removal device and different attachment head, as well as a shaver to remove unwanted hair prior the treatment.
The entire Intensed Pulsed Light system normally costs £899.99 but it’s currently half-price as part of Amazon’s limited-time spring deal, so you can now get it for £449.99.
The smart technology allows the machine to learn and adapt to your skin and hair needs, and guides you with real-time feedback.
Frankie showed fans how to use the device on Instagram and placed it on her leg before gently gliding it across. She also opened the Braun IPL app to track the progress.
She shared the screen of the app and added: “As you can see, while I am doing this, the app is tracking how much I’ve actually done. How cool is that?
“Right, so I’m going to spend the next 15 minutes doing the rest of my body and then my whole top up is done.”
At the end of her hair removal session, she posted an update, sharing: “So much easier for me than going to a salon as I can fit it into my schedule when it suits me!
“This is as close to an in-home beautician as you can get!”
Frankie won’t have to worry missing her next treatment because the app has a built-in Personal Progress Tracker and Smart Calendar to send reminders and let you see how many treatments are left.
The app also allows you to put in information like hair colour and hair density, plus it recommends the light intensity and which device head to use.

She also recommended it to her friends and knowing it’s an expensive beauty equipment, she saw it as an investment.
“If hair removal is something you want and something you are thinking about, that’s so much cheaper overall,” Frankie said and her friend chimed in: “I spent so much money on treatments.”
Boots is also selling the Braun Skin i.expert and you can get the 2-head attachment set for £429.99, £20 cheaper than Amazon and Advantage Card members can collect 1,287 points, which is £12.87 to spend in their next purchase.
If you prefer a pistol grip device, you can save £120 on Philips’ Lumea IPL 8000 Series and start with using it twice a month.
For a compact, easy-to-store IPL device, consider Bondi Body’s Mini Laser. The £149 tool (use code FORTY at checkout) doesn’t not come with any mobile apps and has five different intensity levels. Start with the lowest setting and work up as you progress.
