Lorraine Kelly is set to become a grandmother for the first time.
The ITV host claims she “cannot wait” for her daughter Rosie Smith to have her own child. The mum-to-be took to social media to share the happy news.
She posted a sweet snap of her bump on Instagram as she dressed in all black. She also uploaded a framed pic of a scan photo at 12 weeks.

Rosie captioned the post: “The bean at 12 weeks – the size of a fig. We could not be more excited – you’re already so loved little one”.
Mum Lorraine was quick to jump into the comment section for support, writing: “The most exciting thing to have ever happened in our family.
“Cannot wait to be a granny and so proud of Rosie and her Steve. It’s the best news ever”.
Friends and fans also added their sweet notes to the mum-to-be. One penned: “Congratulations Rosie.”
Whereas Wendy Fitzgerald added: “Oh my giddy aunt congratulations Ruby is going to be a big sister. I bet your mum is over the moon to be a granny.”
“I bet your mum is over the moon to be a granny”.
Another commented: “Lorraine must be in absolute bits.”
Unsurprisingly, Rosie has caught the broadcasting bug, hosting her own podcast, alongside her mum, called ‘What if?’ And in addition to presenting the show together, the pair have exhibited their chemistry on Celebrity Gogglebox and Martin and Roman’s Weekend Best.
Showcasing remarkable intellect, the 29-year-old has proven herself in the world of journalism, putting together investigative pieces for The Daily Mail. Furthermore, the talented content creator writes entertainment articles for HELLO.
The news that she is about to become a grandmother is just the latest piece of positivity that Lorraine has experienced over the last month. On a recent episode of her ITV show, the broadcaster was blindsided when Sussana Reid made a surprise appearance to hand her an award.
A bemused Lorraine couldn’t believe her eyes as her colleague handed her a TV BAFTA Special Award. Susanna beamed: “Good morning Lorraine, this has come as an enormous surprise. I have a very special announcement for you, Lorraine Kelly.
“It doesn’t get much bigger or more deserved than this. I am here for a very special reason this morning. BAFTA will be celebrating your 40 years in broadcasting. Your programme is nominated in the daytime category, but I have something unique and special to you.”
“On behalf of the BAFTA board of trustees, we are delighted to offer you Lorraine Kelly the Academy Special award to be presented at this year’s BAFTA Television Awards.”
Lorraine gushed: “I was a baby, I got my chance in breakfast television because they were willing to take a risk on someone who was told I’d never make it to TV because of the way I speak. The boss of TVAM was Australian and heard a Scottish accent and it was one of those things where it was like ‘Give her a go.'”
