Viewers of The Chase have reacted in shock after a contestant revealed her age on the ITV show.
Competing against Abigail, Payal and Leanne during Monday’s installment (May 6) was Donna – a 51-year old mum-of-two. Matching her youthful appearance, Donna explained to presenter Bradley Walsh that she enjoys parachute jumping, and hoped to take flying lessons with her potential winnings.
Ahead of her head-to-head with Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, Donna told host Bradley Walsh: “I’m a busy mum. I play tennis once a week I play in a netball team as goal keeper.” And when asked what she plans to do with the money she replied: “I’m quite adventurous I did a parachute jump last year for my 50th.

Donna continued: “I’ve done white water rafting so if I won big, other than jumping out of a plane, I’d like to get some flying lessons and actually fly the plane.”

Over on X (formerly Twitter), fans of the programme couldn’t believe Donna’s age. “#TheChase Donna looks bloody good for 51!” gushed one user.
Another responded: “I’ve just said the exact same thing!! No lines!!” A third agreed: “#TheChase She’s looking good for 51.” And a fourth said: “#TheChase OMG she looks amazing. I’d have put her in her mid thirties.”

Donna faired well in the cash-builder round, meanwhile, answering four questions correctly and earning £4,000 to take on Jenny. After being handed chances to play for a risky £44,000 and a safe £1,000, she opted to stick with her original figure and therefore begin two steps closer to home than Jenny in the chase.
Jenny, however, proved no match for the Luton contestant, however, and caught her one place from adding her funds to the day’s jackpot.

After fellow contestant Abigail was dispatched by Jenny too, 34-year-old secondary school teacher Leanne from Preston and 22-year old children’s camp leader Payal were left to face off in the final chase by themselves.
Having bagged £5,000 between them, the ladies went on to answer 12 questions correctly. The Vixen brushed their challenge aside with ease, however, catching the disappointed duo with plenty of time to spare, meaning they left empty handed.
