I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is rumoured to be singing up Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice.
However, I’m A Celeb star Nicola McLean has demanded fans “boycott” the show if this is the case, after his misconduct and bullying claims. The BBC is currently investigating three contestant’s claims about the pro.
However, Nicola argues the BBC needs to at least conclude the investigation before Giovanni is allowed to star on any other TV show. Nicola told Daily Star: “Before they give Giovanni a chance, I think that the investigation with the BBC and Strictly needs to be fully investigated and closed.

“Because if he’s been doing what the women have said then he doesn’t deserve a chance on a show like that. I don’t think that people who are bullying celebrity contestants deserve a chance.
“It’s also really sad how women have spoken up about this, and yet, it’s the women that are getting the trolling. It’s the women who are being victim-blamed yet again.
“So I think it’s actually insulting to even put them in the running for this show, which I think is one of the best shows on telly. I stand with the women, why would they lie?
“I wouldn’t want to watch him on it. I think we should all boycott if that’s the case.”
Nicola also declared that she believes that Giovanni deserves a “fair hearing” and that footage from their rehearsals should be shown to the public. She added: “He deserves a fair hearing, because at the minute, he’s saying that the footage would show he didn’t do anything, and Amanda’s obviously saying the footage will show that it did.
“So I think that the footage needs to be shown and then it needs to be made public. It needs to be made public either way, as someone is lying here, that’s why we need a fair full-on investigation.”
This comes after Giovanni stepped back from Strictly in the light of allegations of misconduct and bullying made by his past dance partners, including Amanda Abbington.
Giovanni inherently denies these claims and is reportedly seeking other roles on different TV shows. The BBC is currently investigating the complaints from three of his ex-dance partners.
In the meantime, I’m A Celeb bosses are reportedly keen to sign the pro dancer up to this 2024 lineup. A source told The Sun: “Giovanni would be perfect for the jungle.
“ITV bosses have wanted him for years and now he is finally free. Everyone is really eager to get him on board – he really would be ideal for those jungle showers.
“They are expected to offer him big money and he’s unlikely to turn it down really. He’ll have finished touring and will have those months free now he’s not doing Strictly. It’s definitely a very tempting offer and will be surprised if he turns it down.”
