Loose Women’s Linda Robson has spilled the tea on her rumoured rift with Birds of a Feather co-star Pauline Quirke, revealing on Monday’s show that their reunion was “really nice” after years apart. Linda gushed about the joy of reuniting with Pauline and Lesley Joseph, saying: “Sometimes it’s really nice to reunite. We had many, many years doing Birds of a Feather then we had a big break.”
She added: “Then a few years ago we reunited. It was the happiest time. We’d all been together over 25 years and it was like we’d never been apart.” Linda delivered a hopeful message: “You can reunite and it can work.”
Despite this, she dropped a bombshell earlier this year, stating another series is off the cards as Pauline has quit acting, reports the Express. Linda shared: “No, Pauline doesn’t act anymore.”
Reflecting on their bond, she said, “Yeah. We have so much history together, me and Pauline have been best friends since we were 10 years old. Lesley I’ve known since the first series of Birds of a Feather. Pauline doesn’t like all the social events but me and Lesley love that.”
Linda also revealed Pauline’s aversion to live TV, noting: “Pauline hates live TV as well, she’ll only ever come on Loose Women if I am on there because she feels safe then.”
While respecting Pauline’s decision, Linda confessed both she and Lesley were gutted by the news that the show wouldn’t make a comeback.
“We were gutted and we couldn’t imagine going on without her,” she confessed to Woman’s Own. “We were a trio how could it possibly work without any one of us? But at the same time as all that sadness, there was acceptance and understanding, too.”
