Adele has admitted she has grappling with a painful medical condition for the past two months.
The Oh My God singer, 36, has been wowing audiences across the world in recent months as she performs at her various residencies. However, behind the scenes, she has revealed she has been struggling with a particularly terrifying illness.
Performing for thousands of fans in Las Vegas on Friday (October 25), the BRIT Award winner explained that she had been suffering from the condition since August. Describing the situation as “grim”, she also went on to say that the ramifications of the illness are still coming through.

According to the star, she has been suffering from a particularly bad ear infection that she got whilst performing at her European residency in Munich in August. The 10-day stint saw the Someone Like You star perform on a bespoke stage for hundreds of thousands of adoring fans.

However, while she looks back fondly on the concerts, Adele admitted that she has been suffering badly with the excruciating pain that came with it. “I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim, I’ve never had one before,” she told concertgoers.
“It’s the most painful thing that’s ever, ever happened to me,” she added. “It was worse than childbirth.”
Adele went on to explain that the infection came from “a rare water bacteria” that she picked up while in Germany over the summer. “It’s very hard to treat, and I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started to work,” she recalled.

Trying to see the lighter side of things, Adele joked that she was desperate to “chop her ear off” on several different occasions. She went on to explain that since being put on the right medication, the pain has now subsided, but it has left her with gruelling side effects.
“I’m no longer in pain,” she explained, “which is great but I’m a bit deaf in my left ear.” It comes after Adele broke down in tears during her recent concert stint, after finding Celine Dion in the crowd.
The Titanic legend had been attending Adele’s stint at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas, and led to a heartwarming moment between the two vocalists. While Adele was performing her hit song “When We Were Young”, she spotted Celine in the crowd and erupted into floods of tears.

Celine was quick to give Adele an embrace and encourage her to keep on with the performance, as fans were left shellshocked at the former Eurovision winner’s appearance. This, however, has not been the only surprise during her recent stint in the luxury hotel.
In the midst of one of her recent concerts, the star said she would be keeping quiet on when she would be tying the knot to her fiancé Rich Paul. She joked with the audience: “I’m the queen of flying under the radar.”
