Liam Payne’s ‘excellent relationship’ with hotel worker who made ‘massive error’

Liam Payne built an ‘excellent relationship’ with a hotel worker who made a ‘massive error’ before the One Direction star’s tragic death, an Argentinian journalist has claimed.

The 31-year-old fell from a third floor balcony on October 16 while staying at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires. And now Argentinian broadcast journalist Paula Varela has claimed that a night worker at the hotel formed a close relationship with Liam and was the focus of an investigation.

Speaking on Socios del Espectaculo, a popular Argentinian TV programme, Varela made a series of claims, including that Liam’s tragic fall was captured on CCTV and shows him ‘fainting’ on the balcony. She also said that a member of staff at the hotel is subject of an investigation looking into how Liam received the drugs thought to have played a role in his death.

She said: “There’s a lad who’s being investigated, he was working nights at the hotel. He struck up an excellent relationship with Liam.”

She claimed that the hotel worker “disobeyed an order from the hotel management” and claimed: “It was not to take anything into Liam’s room.” Paula added: “Because of the good relationship he had with Liam, he requested a car through one of these taxi apps we all use because Liam wanted something.”

Valera also claimed that the hotel worker “did Liam a favour,” which was a “massive error” because he is now “being investigated” and authorities are trying to work out “what was transferred in that vehicle”.

She added that the hotel worker “has been suspended” and although he was allegedly “a cherished member of staff and a “good worker,” the employee “disobeyed an order that could have proved fatal”.
