Joey Essex left viewers wincing after flirting with an American TV presenter live on-air.
Reality TV icon Joey, 34, was in Los Angeles setting up for a new life Stateside, when he appeared on local TV earlier this week. The star decided to up sticks and move across the Atlantic after splitting from his Love Island ex Jessy Potts.
Since settling down in LA, the star has been seen living the high life, getting himself on celebrity dating app Raya to get himself back on the market. But fans were not happy as he gave a cringeworthy interview that was broadcast to the entirety of Los Angeles.

The TOWIE legend appeared on local TV station KTLA in order to chat about what was next for him after his Love Island stint. And it was clear that Joey was lapping up the attention, as the presenters appeared to swoon over his Essex accent.
Introducing Joey to the morning show, host Jasmine Simpkins said that the star was “known for his charm”. The other three hosts – all of whom being women – asked questions about the Love Island experience, before confessing they were in love with his accent and urged him to keep talking.
In true style, Joey responded: “My name is Joey Essex, what are you saying?” leaving the hosts hot under the collar. He kept the flirty banter going as he complimented all the presenters and marvelled at how beautiful they all looked.
Later on in the interview, Jasmine appeared to take a liking to Joey’s cardigan that had partially fallen off during the chat. Fixing the outfit, Jasmine stroked Joey’s arm, to which he replied: “You like that one, yeah?”
Talking about his life in the UK, Joey admitted his life here was “hectic” due to the constant attention he receives from the press and fans wanting to take a picture. He added he was looking for a home to settle down in LA, but trying to organise it in the UK was particularly hard.
Keeping up the flirty vibes in the interview, Joey confessed he believed himself to be “perfect husband material”, adding: “I clean my own house, my own clothes, my own dishes.” In a cheeky rebuttal, the women on the panel hit back, saying: “Oh, we’re so sorry.”
His toe-curling flirting comes after he confirmed he was back on the market looking for love, despite only just splitting from Love Island flame Jessy. Since the pair called time on their relationship in September, the reality star has been seen on other celebrity dating apps like Raya and Huggle.
After leaving the villa, Joey and Jessy had been hit with allegations they had split, but they insisted that due to conflicting schedules, it was hard to see each other. After just over a month of dating after the ITV show ended, Joey released a statement saying they “decided to call an end to the relationship but I hope we can continue to be friends.”
