Tom Hardy is set to return to our screens in what promises to be another adrenaline-fuelled thriller if the blood-soaked trailer is anything to go by.
The film, titled Havoc, has already caught the attention of viewers worldwide after a sneak peek was released on Netflix’s official social media channels ahead of its release on April 25, causing quite a stir among fans.
After getting a taste of the star-studded cast and Hardy’s battered character Walker taking on the criminal underworld in the suburbs of Los Angeles, many online users have already declared “I’m 100% in”. While the trailer doesn’t reveal too much about the plot, the synopsis gives us a better idea of what to expect.
It reads: “In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops.”
It continues: “When attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past.”
Having read the overview and seen all of the action and drama unfolding, fans are already convinced they’ve got a hit on their hands and “can’t wait” for the film to land on the streaming platform, reports Surrey Live.
Tom will be joining forces with actors Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar and Xelia Mendes-Jones, alongside Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.
Not only were the action-packed scenes and the ensemble of famous faces drawing attention online, but fans were also thrilled by the news that Gareth Evans is directing the movie, known for his incredible work on ‘Gangs of London’ and ‘The Raid’.
Underneath the YouTube trailer, enthusiasts voiced their excitement in the comments, with one fan starting off the admiration by saying: “I was sold as soon as I saw ‘Director of Raid’ + Tom Hardy. I’m going to enjoy this.”
