The Pricey has officially been discharged from her bankruptcies and revealed her huge relief – after previously amassing a whopping £750,000 worth of unpaid debt
Katie Price was officially discharged from her bankruptcies on Tuesday night and has now vowed to will win back her large fortune to get back on track financially.
This marks a new start for the model, who previously suffered a six-year financial battle, where she was forced to file for bankruptcy following an unpaid £750,000 debt. The latest news follows Katie being discharged from her first bankruptcy on February 11, 2025. Speaking to the Sun, Katie was thankful for everyone’s support and said she wants to focus on moving forward.
“I can finally move on and put these bankruptcies behind me and now only focus on the positive,” she told the publication. Her tax debt included income tax, VAT, surcharges and interest, stemming from self-assessments for the two years up until 2022.
A source close to the star also said she is feeling a lot better now her financial woes are behind her. They said: “This has been hanging over her like the sword of Damocles – and now she is free to re-set, and try and remake her lost millions. If anyone can do it, it’s The Pricey.”
In March 2024, Katie was declared bankrupt once more due to an outstanding tax bill exceeding £760,000. The High Court determined that the former Page 3 model would forfeit half of her monthly income to settle her debts.
Four companies were named, including the adult-only subscription site OnlyFans and a photographic agency, Backgrid.
Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton stated that the four companies are “obligated to deduct 40 per cent of the income due to being paid to Ms Price” each month for the next three years.
Her solicitor Chris Keane, from Fieldfisher LLP, said: “Without specialist insolvency advice, Katie really didn’t fully understand the bankruptcy process or the consequences of any failure to attend on the Trustee in Bankruptcy when asked to do so.
“Since engaging specialist insolvency solicitors, Katie has been fully compliant with her Trustee in Bankruptcy and has been discharged from both bankruptcies in short order.”
Katie was also ordered to surrender six cars – a Volkswagen Beetle, a Nissan, two Range Rovers, Suzuki Vitara and Infiniti FX50 – on July 5.
During her August court appearance, proceedings were postponed when her lawyer, Bertie Beor-Roberts, requested: “We are asking the court to adjourn the examination generally.
“The general purpose is to permit Price to attend a private interview with the trustee and then to continue to engage constructively.”
