Rapper Tory Lanez was allegedly stabbed in prison after being sent down for shooting hip hop star, Megan Thee Stallion.
Tory was let out to the yard of California Correctional Institution at Tehachapi Monday morning during his daily exercise time when another inmate stabbed him, reports TMZ. The news came according to multiple sources, including one in law enforcement. It is currently not known what the motivation behind the attack was, but the source said Tory was rushed by ambulance to a nearby civilian hospital in Bakersfield.
A week before the stabbing, Lanez shared a photo dressed in a white tracksuit from prison onto his social media. He was posing for the camera next to two other inmates. According to him, a new album was due to drop soon.

Currently, the artist is serving a 10-year sentence at the California state prison for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Lanez, born as Daystar Peterson, was convicted on three charges by a Los Angeles court with the Canadian native facing more than 20 years behind bars as well as potential deportation, the NY Times reported.
The charges include assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
According to the Los Angeles County District’s Attorney’s Office, the 30-year-old artist faced charges including one count of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and for inflicting great bodily harm to the 27-year-old rapper.
In the trial, the court heard that Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, had insulted Lanez in a dispute back in 2020 before demanding to be let out of the car they were in, before Lanez shot five rounds at her.

She told the court: “He was holding the gun pointing at me,” as she claimed that he said “dance b****” and fired his gun, injuring both her feet. “I froze, I felt shocked,” she said.
“I wasn’t really sure if this was happening. I looked at the ground and saw the blood, everyone was shocked.”
Tory and Megan are still entwined in a legal battle, with court proceedings still taking place. She’s accusing him of enlisting various bloggers to continue publicly smearing and cyberstalking her.
TMZ sources say the injuries sustained by Lanez in prison are not life threatening. It is unknown whether he is still in hospital.
