Maya Jama has shared a video on social media of her and footballer Ruben Dias confirming their relationship, after months of speculation the pair are in a relationship
Maya Jama fuelled relationship rumours with a candid video showing her cosying up to Ruben Dias, implying they’re an item.
The Love Island presenter and the Manchester City player have been the subject of dating rumours for a while, and Maya’s latest clip is fuelling rumours. In the clip, shared on her Instgram Stories, Maya updated her followers whilst Ruben sat beside her in the backseat post-dinner date. The pair got spotted by photographers after wining and dining together, it seems.
The TV presenter said to her fans on Insta: “So, we’re currently being followed by a van of paps.”
As she laughed, the lens shifted to the footie star trying to suss out the photographers from the car’s rear window.
Maya quipped: “When we came out the restaurant they were spread out across the road and they didn’t get us so now they’re following. I’m in half a mind to just give them a f****** show and the other half is hide.”, reports the Mirror.
Maya kept her followers in the loop with more updates as the papparazzi chase unfolded. In a new story, kicked back in the sunshine, she dropped this line: “Little update,” she said, then umpired herself.
“We made it inside, but I’m pretty sure they know where I live now…”
Earlier on, the couple was snapped in a kiss at KSI’s Baller League do, with footage catching them all hugging and Ruben planting a kiss on Maya’s neck.
Rumours that the pair had kindled a romance surfaced earlier this year. In a promotional clip for Baller League on social media, Match of the Day host Gary Lineker seemed to reveal the news, causing quite a stir online.
BBC Radio 1 presenter Maya is believed to have introduced the Portuguese footballer to her mum last month, although the couple hadn’t officially announced their relationship to their online followers.
She was also spotted at Wembley recently, cheering on Rúben’s Manchester City as they secured a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. The win clinched City’s spot in the FA Cup final, where they’ll face off against Crystal Palace after the Eagles trounced Aston Villa 3-0.
Amid the swirling rumours about her relationship with the football ace, it was reported last month that the duo took a significant step forward in their relationship involving his mother, Bernadette.
According to an insider, Ruben introduced the presenter to his mother. They revealed to The Sun: “Maya and Rúben are getting more serious and she has met his mum, Bernadette.”
Before embarking on her new love affair, Maya had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship with chart-topping musician Stormzy, whose real name is Michael Owuo Jr, 31.
