Van Halen icon who insured manhood ripped to shreds over skintight leather pants

Van Halen singer David Lee Roth once claimed that he had insured his manhood, which he nicknamed ‘Little Elvis’, before going on tour as he would be ‘using him a lot’

Van Halen icon David Lee Roth has been mocked over his outfit choice at a recent performance.

The singer, 70, made an appearance at the M3 Rock Festival in Columbia, Maryland earlier this month. But after he wore some very revealing, skintight leather trousers, it wasn’t his performance that got people talking.

The unforgiving trousers exposed every bump and lump – including what he refers to as “Little Elvis”. Videos shared on social media were flooded with comments taking aim at the shocking scenes, with many joking they “came straight to the comments” to have a laugh with other people.

One person said: “Well hey there little fella.”

Another commented: “Who came straight to the comments to see the little guy.”

A third wrote: “David Wee Roth.”

Someone else said: “Oh sweet mother of gherkins.”

A fifth added: “Oh no! He suffocated the littlest member of the band. Poor guy.”

Another wondered: “Seriously, nobody said, ‘Dave, you might want to rethink those pants.'”

As someone else commented: “It’s David Lee Roth and his sidekick, David Little Roth.”

Of course, others focused on the music, with one saying: “Still sounds better than Vince Neil, Axl Rose and Jon Bon Jovi. Can at least understand the words.”

Another commented: “I absolutely don’t care what anyone says – David Lee Roth is one of, if not the best, frontman of all rock and roll.”

It appears the rocker is quite fond of his little friend.

He once revealed that he got his manhood, which he calls “Little Elvis”, insured before the band headed out on tour.

Speaking to Huffington Post in 2013, he was asked about rumours he’d had his whole body insured.

He then replied: “It wasn’t my body, it was Little Elvis.

“Before we were leaving, they said, ‘We’ll have to insure Eddie [Van Halen, guitarist]’s fingers, because he’s going to be using those a lot on the road, and [drummer] Alex Van Halen’s elbows, we’re going to have to insure those because he’s going to be using them a lot.’

“And I said: ‘What about Little Elvis? We’re going to be using him a lot.'”

It’s not clear how much the insurance policy was for, but it’s been reported that Jennifer Lopez previously insured her bum for $300million (£225m) and Bruce Springsteen insured his voice for $6million (£4.5m).
