Remember Monday will be performing on behalf of the UK during the Eurovision final, but many fans may not realise that the girl band are actually making history with their entry
The UK’s Eurovision entry is set to make history.
Remember Monday will be taking to the stage to sing their hearts out for a chance to take home the title of Eurovision 2025 winners, but there is something extra special about this entry.
The trio are the first girl group to represent the UK since Precious back in 1999, 26 years ago. Although the girls are clearly excited, they’ve previously expressed feeling “a little bit anxious” ahead of the final.
Eurovision fans may recognise the girls from another singing competition. Remember Monday appeared on The Voice back in the eighth series.
All four judges – Jennifer Hudson, Tom Jones, Olly Murs and Will.I.Am – turned their chairs after hearing the girls belt out their audition song.
Sadly, they didn’t make it through to the final stage but they later won a Best Group award at the British Country Music Awards that very same year.
The Eurovision final is being held in St. Jakobshalle Arena, Switzerland and Graham Norton will be hosting for the UK.
Norton has branded Remember Monday as “flawless” but also weighed in on other competitors who will be singing for the crown.
He said: “Remember Monday have a great advantage in that they are unlike any other act this year.”
“Their vocals and harmonies are flawless, the song has a very strong hook and the trio are hugely likeable. With a decent place in the running order they should do very well indeed.”
