Caroline Flack's acts of kindness to other Love Island stars struggling to cope

Former Love Island presenter Caroline Flack made sweet, comforting acts to make sure contestants of the show felt supported when they left the villa and became overnight stars.

In the wake of Caroline’s death, former islander Amy Hart, who appeared on the ITV2 show last year, opened up about the 40 year old’s thoughtful attitude and caring nature and how she “reassured” her during the series.

The TV host was found dead at her East London flat on February 15 after taking her own life.

Amy praised Caroline for putting her “at ease on day one” and thanked the star for reaching out to her best friend with helping her with the “dark side of social media” while she was in the villa.

The former air hostess lauded Caroline for her “pep talks” and “keeping her calm” during the reunion show.

Taking to Instagram, Amy wrote alongside a snap of her and Caroline: “I take as I find and what I found was the kindest soul from putting us at ease on day one, to squeezing my hand when I didn’t know I needed it most, to reaching out to my best friend to help her navigate the dark side of social media, to inviting me to her dressing room for show tune karaoke, to giving me the pep talk of all pep talks at Aftersun.

“She kept me really calm at the reunion and kept reassuring me all evening.

“Caroline went above and beyond her job at all times, she didn’t HAVE to do any of that and she did. Absolutely gutted.”

She ended the heartfelt post: “Go and be the star you are.”

Caroline stepped down from her Love Island presenting duties following an alleged altercation with boyfriend Luke Burton at her Islington home last year.

She pleaded not guilty to common assault at her court hearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 23 December, and was due to stand trial on March 4.

Mr Burton begged authorities to drop the court case and didn’t want to press charges, but the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) still pursued the case.

Caroline’s father found her body after her friend left the flat, and popped to the shops.
