Keith Lemon suffering from fever as Celeb Juice filming halted over coronavirus

Keith Lemon admitted he was feeling under the weather with a cough and fever as Celebrity Juice filming was pulled on Monday amid coronavirus fears.

The show’s cancellation comes after Boris Johnson discussed the outbreak to the nation, stating people should limit travel, mass gatherings will be pulled and people should work from home where possible.

Before filming, Keith informed his fans that he had been feeling ill, but was adamant his symptoms were not linked to coronavirus.

He said: “I haven’t been very well since Thursday. I went to a friend’s birthday party and I ended up leaving and I puked up.

“I think I got food poisoning, not from the birthday party but from where I’d eaten prior to that. I won’t say where.”

Before arriving in the studio, he was checked over by a paramedic who gave him the A-OK, but to limit contact, he explained he wouldn’t be giving out his high-fives.

But the guests never took their seats because filming was halted shortly after.

Discussing the studio audience numbers, he said: “If you are coming to Juice I know it’s going to be a smaller audience this week cause they are cutting down due to coronavirus, I probably won’t give you a high five in case I give you what I’ve got.

“It’s not man flu. I’m just a bit dizzy and as I say achey and got a little cough but not worth talking about. I’m just really tired.

“I let the dog out and I felt like a ninety-year-old man. I keep feeling right cold. I keep getting hot and cold. In bed I’m super hot and then I’m shaking freezing. I’ve got fatigue.

“I’ve got my hat and scarf on because I feel freezing, it should be a big scarf but then I start sweating.”

Paddy McGuinness said they had to shelve the episode, and urged fans to wash their hands

He had previously discussed his ailments on Instagram, writing: “I don’t have Coronavirus symptoms but I don’t feel 100% Must be something else going around. Hope I don’t start feeling compelled to buy all the supermarkets toilet paper stock!”

And Paddy McGuinness, who was joining Keith on the episode, shared the news the show was stopped following Boris Johnson’s conference.

“Well that escalated quickly. We were all set to record @celebjuiceofficial audience in and then we hear Boris Johnson’s speech and that was that! Audience out, show cancelled…for now!

“Still I got to spend a bit of time with my boy @keithlemon. Stay safe, keep an eye out for the elderly and wash them hands!”
