Peter Kay’s comeback tour has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Bolton-born star comedian been been scheduled to appear at Dance for Life charity gigs across the country.
However, the shows have been postponed due to the government’s advice on mass gatherings amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
Addressing fans today, Peter said: “Obviously this is disappointing news but well and truly justified given the circumstances.
“We’ll get through this, together and then we’ll all have a great big dance for life.

“Stay safe and look after yourselves and the people around you.”
The star had been set to host his Dance For Life shows in London, Liverpool and Manchester, for Cancer Research UK this April.
A statement from the comedian’s reps said: “Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and following Government advice, it is with deep regret that the forthcoming Peter Kay’s Dance For Life shows are being postponed.
“We are looking to schedule the shows so please hold onto your tickets as they will be valid for the new dates.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but the safety of the public is paramount.”
The news comes as several UK and global events are cancelled amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Glastonbury organisers announced earlier that the 2020 festival had been cancelled in a statement.
This read: “We are so sorry to announce this, but we are going to have to cancel Glastonbury 2020.
“Tickets for this year will roll over to next year.”
The iconic UK festival was due to kick off on June 24.
