Naked Madonna calls coronavirus ‘the great equaliser’ in bizarre bath clip

Madonna has given her take on coronavirus while sitting naked in her bathtub, saying it bizarrely makes everyone “equal”.

The legendary pop star posted the video to her Twitter account yesterday, captioning it: “No-Discrimination-Covid19.”

In the clip, the 61-year-old sits naked in a bathtub surrounded by petals.

With dramatic music playing in the background, she says: “It’s something about COVID-19.

“It doesn’t matter how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are, how smart you are, where you live, how old you are.

“It is the great equaliser. And what’s terrible about it is what’s great about it.

“What’s terrible about it is that it’s made us all equal in many ways. And what’s wonderful about this is it’s made us all equal in many ways.

“Like I used to say, at the end of human nature we are all in the same boat.

“And if the ship goes down, we all go down together.”

The video has been seen more than 3.5million times and thousands of viewers were baffled by the singer’s message.

“What the hell is this?” one viewer asked.

Another wrote: “You just posted cringe bro, I’ve unsubscribed.”

And a third added: “Umm it’s only been a week and you’ve gone insane.”

It comes as countries around the world continue attempts to control the rapid spread of COVID-19.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced last week the closure of all cafes, restaurants, cinemas, gyms and leisure centres.

Schools are also closed from today, although some pupils will be allowed to continue attending if their parents fall under the “key workers” category.
