I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! producers are hoping introducing hot tubs to the Welsh castle this series will help sex up the show.
It comes after the famous I’m a Celebrity waterfall showers, which have become a staple of the Australian series, have been a no-show this year.
The relocation to Gwyrch castle in the colder climates of north Wales from the soaring temperatures in the Australian Outback has mean that celebs have been washing themselves a tin bath in the castle as opposed to a tropical shower.
Viewers of the programme are reportedly not finding the celebs’ tin bath time as “sexy” as the waterfall showers, which saw celebrities such as Myleene Klass and Helen Flanagan wow.
But bikini moments have vanished this year due to the cold temperature in Abergele, which has seen the celebrities wrap up against the cold.
Last year, celebrities reportedly blocked the shower from view of the cameras, with former campmate Lisa Snowdon even saying she felt uncomfortable showering in view of the cameras.
A source told The Sun: “Every year in Australia you seen the celebrities lathering up in the waterfall.
“It happens every day and has become a big part of I’m A Celebrity . . . and after 19 series it feels really odd not to have it.
“Moving to an old castle has meant that sort of shot has been difficult to get and some feel the series has suffered as a result.”
The source added that the show could do with a slight “glamour boost”.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! airs tonight on ITV at 9pm
