The Masked Singer fans 'confirm' Queen Bee's identity after 'obvious' clue

The Masked Singer fans are now certain that Queen Bee is Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, 34, after a not so cryptic clue about speaking French in tonight’s episode.

During the Queen Bee’s VT, the regal character mentioned that she couldn’t speak French, which got the lightbulb going off in many viewers’ heads.

Can’t Speak French is a song by Girls Aloud, which is just another clue that links Queen Bee to Scouse lass Nicola.

Taking to Twitter with their assumptions, one said: “I can’t speak French… definitely a clue. Nicola Roberts.”

Another wrote: “Queen Bee… she can’t speak French? Obviously Nicola Roberts.”

A third tweeted: “Girls Aloud have a song called Can’t Speak French. It’s for sure Nicola Roberts.”

Someone else said: “Queen Bee can’t speak French you say? Does she let the funky music do the talking?”

A fifth added: “Definitely still think Queen Bee is Nicola Roberts. Sticking with that. Girls Aloud did the song Can’t Speak French.”

While a sixth commented: “I still think Queen Bee is Nicola Roberts. Can’t Speak French was a Girls Aloud hit wasn’t it. So confused.”

There are a number of other clues that point towards Nicola Roberts, such as the use of Little Mix song titles and lyrics.

Nicola has writing credits for three of Little Mix’s songs – though not the ones mentioned on The Masked Singer.

Queen Bee has also mentioned starting her career young, and being in a group, with Nicola shooting to stardom with Girls Aloud when she was just 17.

The trickster has discussed making rather than breaking rules too, with Nicola helping form a bill to ban under-18s from using tanning beds.

But Queen Bee was saved during the first round of voting, which saw Fox eliminated.

And panelist Davina McCall guessed correctly that the glitzy character was in fact Denise Van Outen.

The Masked Singer continues next Saturday at 7pm on ITV
