Coronation Street fans were puzzled tonight as they spotted a major hospital blunder.
Viewers saw Gary Windass hit by a car in a huge plot twist last week after he saved Sarah Platt when she ran out into the road.
Sarah was joined by Adam Barlow and Maria Connor in the hospital waiting room, as they waited to see if Gary was okay.
Fans quickly pointed out that, due to the soap now writing the coronavirus into their storylines, the characters wouldn’t be allowed in the hospital.
One wrote: “Why are they all allowed in the hospital? Make them stand outside. Hands, face, car park space.”

While another wrote: “Why are they all allowed in the hospital?”
“If they’re portraying Covid-19 then they shouldn’t be in A&E and certainly not unmasked,” added a third.
Later in the episode, Maria told Sarah and Adam: “I’ve spoken to the doctor and he’s going to be okay.”
Then, at the end of the programme, she was seen sitting by Gary’s hospital bed.

She was wearing a mask, but when Gary woke up, she pulled it down to her chin to speak to him.
Viewers were raging, and slammed the soap for not portraying the correct way to wear a mask during the pandemic.
One fumed: “You’d think @itvcorrie would advocate proper mask wearing but have Maria with her mask on her chin and touching her face!”

While another wrote: “Corrie out here giving people bad advice with masks. Don’t pull them down your neck ffs Maria.”
“So Maria can visit Gary, but loved ones can’t visit loved ones who are dying or attend their last moments. Great message Corrie!”, tweeted another Corrie fan.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV
