Over the years there have been countless feuds in the world of celebrities.
From being fired from films, models at war with one another and physical bust-ups, it’s all gone down in Hollywood over the decades.
But some of the most brutal from the 90s and decades leading up to it will always outdo the feuds of today between the likes of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
From Richard Gere And Sylvester Stallone, Tyra Banks And Naomi Campbell, and Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal, here are the most interesting feuds.

The pair had a contentious relationship for a very long time which started when they were both filming The Lords of Flatbush in 1974.
Gere was set to play protagonist Chico Tyrell, a part eventually played by actor Perry King, due to his feud with Stallone.
The pair got off on such the wrong foot that it ended with Gere getting fired from the film.
Stallone opened up about their arguments to Ain’t It Cool and recalled how an incident over Gere’s lunch which royally annoyed Stallone.
Stallone claimed to the publication: “He (Gere) would strut around in his oversized motorcycle jacket like he was the baddest knight at the round table.
“One day, during an improv, he grabbed me (we were simulating a fight scene) and got a little carried away.

“I told him in a gentle fashion to lighten up, but he was completely in character and impossible to deal with.”
Stallone continued: “Then we were rehearsing at Coney Island and it was lunchtime, so we decided to take a break, and the only place that was warm was in the backseat of a Toyota.
“I was eating a hotdog and he climbs in with a half a chicken covered in mustard with grease nearly dripping out of the aluminium wrapper. I said, ‘That thing is going to drip all over the place.’ He said, ‘Don’t worry about it’.
“I said, ‘If it gets on my pants you’re gonna know about it’.”
Stallone said Gere then proceeded to bite into the chicken and a “small, greasy river of mustard” landed on his thigh.
The actor continued: “I elbowed him in the side of the head and basically pushed him out of the car. The director had to make a choice: one of us had to go, one of us had to stay.
“Richard was given his walking papers and to this day seriously dislikes me. He even thinks I’m the individual responsible for the gerbil rumor. Not true… but that’s the rumor.”

Two of the most famous supermodels of all time came to a brutal feud during an iconic 90s photoshoot, featuring frenemies, Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell.
It was back in 1992 and the pair modelled alongside fellow beauty queen model Beverly Peele for Vogue magazine.
The shoot was styled by Grace Coddington and shot by Patrick Demarchelier.
In it, the three beauties appear on a yacht all wearing matching black bikinis, dresses and cute little straw hats.
The threesome looked like they were having tons of fun on the shoot and the images went on to become quite iconic – despite Banks and Campbell not speaking to one another throughout it.
In 2019 Banks opened up about the dramas of the shoot to The Wall Street Journal and claimed Campbell didn’t make her feel welcome to the industry.

“It wasn’t a rivalry,” Banks clarified. “I’m very sensitive to that word because a rivalry is between two equals to me whereas one was very dominant, she was a supermodel, and I was just this new girl that had got on a plane from Paris and was studying fashion and magazines.”
Banks went on to explain how, despite her fledgeling career, she experienced “very painful early days in Paris” due to Campbell.
She went on: “As much as I was booking fashion shows, people didn’t know I was going home at night crying my eyes out because the woman I was looking up to seemed like she just didn’t want me to be there and was doing everything in her power to make me go away.”
Banks said at the time she thought Campbell’s behaviour was “evil” and “awful” but now understands that Campbell “was reacting to an industry that was all about a token”.

Going back to 2014, after beating his cocaine addiction Damme began making a name for himself in the industry once again.
However, that hasn’t come without a feud here or there – the most fiery being with Steven Seagal.
During his promotional tour for his new movie ‘The Expendables 2’, the action hero told Yahoo! Movies about his feud with fellow martial arts actor Steven, 68.
It started as Damme named possible additions to the Expendables team to a reporter on the red carpet when Steven Seagal’s name came up.
Damme reacted by sharing his opinion that it might not be such a good idea, but things quickly took a very catty turn.

At the time, he started off claiming that he’d love to see Steven in the next movie, but then voiced that Steven “should lose some weight!”
He went on to explain that the pair had met on a number of occasions but they didn’t “get on”.
Explaining the cause for the rift, Damme said it was simple, and told Yahoo! it’s “Because I’m good.”
He continued: “I like him a lot. He’s a good guy. He’s got good charisma, something special on the screen. I would love to see him there.”
Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts

Not all feuds, however, appear to be as brutal or real as they seem…
Back in 1998, Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts starred together in the box-office hit Stepmom.
When the film debuted in cinemas, the press reported the leading actresses were at war – claims Susan later stamped out.
Instead, she said the feud had been fabricated by publicity execs to mimic the infamous rivalry between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford on the set of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
In 2017, Sarandon took to her official Twitter account to make the confession that the feud between her and her Stepmom co-star wasn’t real.

Sarandon tweeted: “Press printed that Julia and I hated each other during Stepmom,” she wrote above a November 1998 Entertainment Weekly piece reading “Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon go head-to-head.”
The actress continued in her tweet: “Found out it was my P.R. person creating rumors.”
She went on: “If you make a movie with a male star, everyone assumes you’re f—ing.
“If it’s a female star, everyone assumes you’re fighting.”
