Kate Garraway spoke out about fearing for her family before her husband Derek Draper was hospitalised with coronavirus.
The Good Morning Britain host, 52, is showing symptoms of the virus, is self-isolating with the couple’s two children.
It was revealed yesterday that Derek, 52 is currently being treated in intensive care after contracting the virus.
Before her husband was rushed to hospital, Kate voiced her fears for her family amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In an interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, Kate expressed her concerns for the elderly members of her family.
She said: “I don’t want to tempt fate, but so far, I’m good.

“It’s loved ones that you can’t help but worry for.
My dad is nearly 85 and my mum is in her late 70s.
“I’ve set up food delivery services, the milkman – you just have to put your strategies in place, don’t you?
“They’re in good health but you don’t want people to start feeling isolated and anxious and closing in on themselves.”
Kate isn’t allowed to visit the former Labour adviser because of the strict rules around Covid-19 patients in hospitals.

It was revealed yesterday that he was in intensive care battling the deadly bug.
A rep for Kate said: “Kate’s husband, Derek Draper, has been taken to hospital and is being treated in intensive care with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
“He was admitted on Monday and has since tested positive for the virus.
“Kate, hasn’t been tested, however, she has also been displaying mild symptoms, also since Monday, and as a result has been on strict isolation with her children at home.”

Kate’s Good Morning Britain co-star Piers Morgan, 55, shared a heartfelt message of support to Kate and Derek.
He sent his prayers to to the couple after the news was made public.
He wrote: “Now it’s been made public, I can say this horrendous situation has brought the Coronavirus crisis sharply into the hearts of all of us at GMB. My love & prayers to Kate & Derek.”
