Naga Munchetty made a friendly warning to her meteorologist colleague Carol Kirkwood when she appeared on Thursday’s (June 24) show on BBC.
The BBC Breakfast show presenter and co-host Charlie Stayt shared their thoughts after watching a clip of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s visit to the Queen for the time in 15 months.
“It’s not just that it’s rare that you hear this kind of interaction, the Queen speaking at all,” Charlie commented and explained that the clip cut short because the Queen carried on to have a private conversation with Boris off-camera.
In the brief clip, Her Majesty said she had been speaking to Secretary of State Matt Hancock and referred him as “poor man”.
Naga then added: “I imagine with the Queen’s experience, everyone is interested in what she would have to say. You’ll listen in terms of what she has to say in terms of observations, don’t you?”
And she turned to weather specialist Carol, saying: “10 past 8am, tell you what, someone that we absolutely, always listen to, of course, is Carol! Good morning to you!”

Looking surprised, Carol replied: “Good morning, I thought somebody else had walked into the room there?”
Naga quickly responded: “Did you Carol? I am actually going to walk out while you do your forecast because no one is… No, I am only joking, I am listening intently! Come on, let’s play nicely.”
The meteorologist then went on to deliver her five-day forecast but clearly hadn’t forgotten the comments at the end of her segment..
“That’s all Naga, I will be testing you later, to see if you are listening,” she joked, as the cameras returned to the studio.
“Of course we are listening, right?” Charlie answered before Naga turned her back to Carol and said: “I wasn’t. I wasn’t interested.”
The trio broke into laughter in the studio and Carol ended the segment saying: “Oh you are awful but I like you. See you later!”
