Britney Spears has taken to social media to release a rare personal statement as speculation around her conservatorship reaches fever pitch.
The Work Bitch icon took to both Twitter and Instagram to share a message with her army of supporters about living in the spotlight.
Britney told fans that “no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens”.
Taking to social media, Britney shared a clip of her performing Toxic during her Las Vegas Piece of Me residency alongside the long caption.
Britney wrote: “Can’t believe this performance of Toxic is from 3 years ago.

“I’ll always love being on stage… but I am taking the time to learn and be a normal person.
“I love simply enjoying the basics of every day life.
“Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories.”
She added: “We all have so many different bright beautiful lives.
“Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens.”

Last week The New York Times released forensic documentary Framing Britney which focuses on Britney’s conservatorship.
Britney was placed into the legal hold in 2008 after her public breakdown – with reports at the time claiming it was only a temporary fix for her father to help get her back to her best.
Over the past few years, the Free Britney movement has grown into a global effort by fans and celebs alike for the Toxic hitmaker to be released from the controversial legal hold which is presided over by Britney’s dad Jamie Spears.

Despite the online backlash Jamie has received from the singer’s fans, Britney’s boyfriend Sam had opted to keep a dignified silence on the topic until letting rip via Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.
Updating his Instagram story, Sam wrote: “Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control out relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way.
“In my opinion Jamie is a total d***.”
He added: “I won’t be going into details because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”
Sam was later filmed by TMZ grabbing coffee where he stood by his post when asked by a reporter.
A rep for Britney Spears has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.
