Netflix bosses hoping to film Britney Spears’ court testimony later this month have had their plans dashed by US legal officials.
Daily Star understands that Netflix had hoped to include Britney’s appearance on June 23 in their upcoming documentary about her conservatorship.
However, it’s been confirmed to Daily Star that the request has been blocked.
A source said: “Netflix are well on their way with making their documentary about Britney’s conservatorship.
“With Britney set to finally talk for the first time on the issue it would have been perfect to include in the doc but filming had to be given the green light by the courts.

“A MC-500 / MC-510 filming request was lodged with the court but declined the application.
“There will be no cameras in court at all during her appearance.”
In a statement to Daily Star, Los Angeles Superior Court said: “Cameras are not allowed. Media request[s] have been denied.”
It’s not yet clear if Britney will attend the hearing personally or via video link.

Daily Star contacted a representative for Netflix for comment.
A representative for Britney Spears was contacted by Daily Star for comment.
In February, Daily Star told how multiple international networks were in the middle of producing Britney Spears conservatorship documentaries amid the success of The New York Times’s Framing Britney Spears.
A source at the time said: “They are working to get people to talk and I don’t want to hinder that… but major networks globally are planning documentaries.”

Two months later the BBC confirmed they would be releasing their own documentary The Battle for Britney which was released initially via iPlayer before being shown on BBC Two in May.
It was later confirmed that true crime director Erin Lee Carr will direct Netflix’s documentary.
During a hearing in April, the Swimming in the Stars songstress made the request to speak directly to the court via her court-appointed attorney Samuel Ingham III.
Ingham went on to say that Britney’s desire to speak directly to the court is “unrelated to any of the pending matters”.
After considering the request, Penny confirmed Britney will address the court on June 23 at 1.30pm.
A second date has been set for July 14 where other matters will be continued.
