David Schwimmer played palaeontologist Ross Gellar in all 236 episodes of Friends from 1994 to 2004.
Even though his acting career has been more low key than that of his Friends counterparts, Schwimmer has continued to rake in money from a series of blockbuster films and shrewd property investments as well as the royalties that the cast continue to receive from the show.
He is also appearing in the Friends reunion show, which is airing in the US and UK today, May 27.
The cast members are reportedly getting paid between £1.7million and £2.1million for the one-hour long reunion special which airs today, May 27, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

David Schwimmer is reportedly worth a staggering $100million (£72 million) and like the rest of the Friends cast, Gellar amassed most of his fortune playing Ross in the hit TV show.
When the show first aired the cast were paid $22’000 (£14.7k) per episode.
As the show grew in popularity the cast started to negotiate new salaries and by the second season, each cast member received $100,000 per episode (£63k), which increased to a mega $1million (£535k) per episode by the final season.
They also successfully negotiated syndication rights, something only Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfield had done beforehand.
As the show is still being syndicated around the world they receive annually 2% of Warner Bros’ syndication income, which is colossal $1billion dollars (£720 million).
This eye watering amount boosts each cast member’s yearly income by a cool $20million dollars (£14.million).
When Friends ended, Schwimmer became the voice of Melman the giraffe in in the 2005 Disney hit Madagascar.
He went on to star in Big Nothing and Nothing But the Truth and won an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Robert Kardsashian (the father of Kim, Khloe, Kourtney Kardashian) and OJ Simpson’s attorney in the Netflix hit The People vs OJ Simpson: American Crime Story.
Schwimmer eventually stepped away from in front of the camera and started to work behind the lens.
He directed movies such as Run Fatboy Run with the UK’s Simon Pegg and he also made his broadway debut and starred in The Caine Mutiny Court Martial. During this time also started a theatre production company and to date has produced more than 60 plays.
It is well noted that Gellar has made some smart property investments. He bought properties in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. when he sold two of the three properties (Chicago and Los Angeles) he made a profit of well over $3.5 million dollars.
