TV soap hunk Davood Ghadami is set to become a millionaire property magnate.
The former EastEnders star’s company is ready to build 20 homes on a site in his hometown of Harlow in Essex.
His plans were given the go-ahead last month and work is due to begin within weeks.
Davood, who played market trader Kush on EastEnders for seven years, is said to be thrilled.
The average house price in Harlow is around £317,000, according to property website Rightmove.
Davood, 38, runs the company with family members including his mum Jayne. They have been attempting to get the green light for the development for almost three years.
In 2018 he submitted an application to build 30 homes on the site.
But Harlow Council planners ruled the project had to be put on hold as there were concerns about the land’s “archaeological significance”.
A source close to the star said: “This has not been an easy process, so Davood is relieved and excited to finally get it off the ground.”
Davood is also earning big money from his TV career.
He enjoyed a bumper pay cheque for playing Kush on the BBC soap before the popular character was killed off last month in dramatic fashion.
And he has now landed a role on Holby City.
