Fetty Wap’s daughter Lauren Maxwell has passed away aged four, her heartbroken mother has confirmed.
Lauren Maxwell was the rapper’s only child with his ex-girlfriend Turquoise Miami.
Reports regarding Lauren’s passing emerged last month but American dancer Turquoise took to social media on Sunday to confirmed the heartbreaking news.
Sharing a video of Lauren in a swimming pool, Turqouise penned: “This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius.
“If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself “I love you LAUREN” because they say that souls can feel your love #rip.”
Fetty, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, had not officially confirmed Lauren’s passing, however, last month he appeared to share a tribute to her.
“LoLo daddy did that s**t for you last night baby girl,” he wrote, accompanied by a butterfly, dove and heart emoji.
He then shared a video of him singing his hit-single Come My Way, with “Listen LoLo” scrawled across the screen.
The star posted an Instagram story following his performance at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival on Sunday evening.
However, he did not mention his daughter during his 20-minute set.
Fetty rose to prominence when his 2015 single Trap Queen reached number two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 10.
He was said to have been in a relationship with Turquoise around the time of Lauren’s birth.
While Turquoise isn’t frequently in the limelight, she shot to fame briefly during her relationship with Fetty.
In 2018 she released a song on Spotify, titled Trap B****h.
Turquoise has previously called Fetty out on his alleged lack of parenting of Lauren, claiming the rapper had not provided adequate support for their daughter.
In an Instagram post, she wrote: “Y’all I’m finna book this flight so I can personally ask this n**** when he plans to pay child support or get his daughter cause it’s been two years and I’m curious.”
“I am no longer going to beg a n**** to be a dad to do all the things a dad is supposed to do,” she added.
However, Fetty never responded to these claims.
The rapper reportedly has at least six children by five different mothers.
In honour of Father’s Day, Fetty shared a loving post with photos of his six children. “Pieces of my heart ….. It’s them over anything or anybody,” he wrote.
In early 2018, model Alexis Skyy named Fetty as the father of her daughter Alaiya but the songwriter publicly stated that he is not Alaiya’s biological dad but is still a father figure to her.
