I'm A Celebrity fans baffled as Frankie forgets The Saturdays song lyrics on stage

The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge has left I’m A Celeb viewers baffled after she appeared to read the lyrics to her own song during a karaoke session with her fellow campmates.

The star took to the stage to belt out her own hit after the camp was treated to a pub night out which included bar food, Christmas décor and a merry sing-a-long.

But during the 32-year-old star’s performance, she began reading her own lyrics off a piece of paper, leading fans to believe she was struggling to remember the words to her own song.

One viewer blasted: “Frankie doesn’t even know the words to her own songs!!! #ImACeleb”

A second said: “Not Frankie needing the lyrics to one of her own songs?!”

One fan compared the mum-of-two to Posh Spice, saying: “Was Frankie the Victoria Beckham of The Saturdays?” .

During a chat with the diary camera Frankie claimed she was “pretending to be bad” because “that’s what karaoke is”.

“It’s one of the worst ones for me to have sung on karaoke,” said Frankie.

Frankie jokingly added: “So I gave it a good go. I’ve probably put my whole career to shame. I’ll take it for one good night in camp.”

This isn’t the first time the star has been slammed for her performance during a singing trial.

Fans were quick to criticise her singing during the Scary-oke trial which she took part in with Naughty Boy last week.

Fans again flocked to Twitter to express their views.

One said: “Frankie’s giving me hope that one day I could be in a band with my voice.”

A second added: “Considering Frankie is a singer, she doesn’t know timing.”

“Thought these two were in the music industry.” commented a third.

Elsewhere on the episode, Corrie icon Simon Gregson was noticeably absent from the Castle Inn challenge, which saw the campmates take on a school like exam to win a night out at a pub.

The star later returned for the outing appearing to feel better as he chowed down on some pub grub.

I’m A Celebrity continues Friday night on ITV at 9pm
