Naga Munchetty was caught on camera telling off her BBC Breakfast colleague for playing with some props on set in a hilarious segment.
The 46-year-old presenter and her co-host Charlie Stayt introduced three Line of Duty balloon characters on Friday’s (April 30) show, with the drama’s series finale set to air this coming Sunday (May 2).
Placing the balloons on the iconic sofa in the middle, Naga explained the three characters from the AC-12 team to the viewers: “So we have Kate here, Kate Fleming, then Ted Hastings and DI Steve Arnott.”
Charlie realised that one of the balloons was sliding off the sofa and decided to straighten it up.
He then said: “I don’t know if you can see the details but they actually got their own lanyards as well. They’ve got their police lanyard, it’s all there, and the waistcoat.”
Struggling to pick up from his line, an awkward silence swept the studio before Naga burst out in laughter and said: “We will be doing more.”
Charlie interrupted: “I don’t think we have ever been on the sofa with a balloon character before. It’s a first for me.”
Naga quickly replied: “Not necessarily from me. These are made by a super fan and we will be talking to the person who made it, a massive fan and well of course, talented, a little later.

But Charlie couldn’t keep his eyes off the balloons during the segment and started to continue to touch them, with his microphone picking up the squeaky noise.
“Leave it alone!” Naga snapped while she was trying to finish her sentence. “… about how BBC Breakfast has been interpreting what has been going on.”
Charlie quickly took his hand back, shrugged his shoulder and remained silent until the end of their segment.
