Tributes have poured in from celebrities after the news of Lisa Banes’ death.
The Gone Girl actress died at the age of 65 after she was injured following a hit-and-run.
The star was left with a “traumatic brain injury” after being struck by an electric scooter on June 4.
The tragic news of her passing was confirmed by close friends on Monday and police are still searching for the driver of the motorised scooter who struck her.
Stars from across the globe have paid tribute to the actress to pay their respects to Lisa, who appeared in Gone Girl, Cocktail, Pumpkin, and A Cure for Wellness.
On Tuesday, Gone Girl author and screenwriter, Gillian Flynn, said: “My heart is so sad at the passing of Lisa Banes. I had the fortune to work with Lisa on GONE GIRL, and she was vibrant, keen, and wildly charming.
“Basically she would have intimidated the hell out of me if she hadn’t been so truly kind. Love to her wife, family and many friends.”
Seth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy, also wrote of the sad news on Twitter.
As one of the first celebs to pay tribute, he said: “I am deeply saddened at the news of Lisa Banes’ passing. We had the good fortune to work with her on The Orville this past year.
“Her stage presence, magnetism, skill, and talent were matched only by her unwavering kindness and graciousness toward all of us. A tremendous loss…”
Actor Kevin Conroy added: “When Lisa entered a room or walked onto a stage she brought electricity. Such a beautiful, unique, talented woman. Life is so brief.”
The star also shared an image of the pair in a separate tweet and wrote: “This is how I will always remember Lisa Banes. We shared a cottage in San Diego, 1982, SD Old Globe Shakespeare Festival. Our first dinner in our little house as we struggled to cook dinner! With Lisa everything was an adventure.”
Dana Delany, China Beach star, penned: “Terribly sad news about Lisa Banes. She was a consummate actor who commanded the stage. We worked together on China Beach & I wish there had been more. My heart goes out to her wife and family.”
Confirming the sad news of her passing, her representative told Entertainment Tonight: “We are heartsick over Lisa’s tragic and senseless passing.
“She was a woman of great spirit, kindness, and generosity and dedicated to her work, whether on stage or in front of a camera and even more so to her wife, family and friends.
“We were blessed to have had her in our lives.”
It’s believed Lisa had been travelling to meet her wife Kathryn Kranhol in New York City when the accident took place, with the actress crossing the road when she was hit.
Julliard, the New York City school where Lisa studied before making it big in theatre, film, and TV, also shared a tribute to the star.
