BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker admitted he felt “totally broken” after reuniting with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Nadiya Bychkova.
The pair reached the quarter-finals of the BBC dancing competition last year, with Dan fully embracing his new talent and forming a sweet bond with Nadiya.
And the pair got back together on Friday (March 18) to prepare for yet another dancing competition – this time in aid of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
The event is dubbed the Rob Burrow Strictly Ball, run by Leeds Hospitals Charity, and aims to fundraise for a brand new centre for those with MND.
Dan will both be performing and judging at the event.
And with rehearsals fully underway, Dan has shared that he is “totally broken”.
Sharing a series of snaps alongside Nadiya in a rehearsal space, Dan got gradually more exhausted, at first posing alongside Nadiya with a beaming smile.
But he could soon be seen lying face down on the floor next to Nadiya’s heels, as she struck a pose while standing on top of a velvet upholstered chair, looking none the worse for wear.
Dan wrote: “The dance session with @nadiyabychkova followed a similar pattern to all our other ones…
“Early excitement. Great fun. Chocolate biscuits. Totally broken at the end.
“See you in Leeds partner!”
He added on his Instagram Stories: “Back in the ballroom with @nadiyabychkova.
“She broke me… again.”
But Dan clearly wasn’t too put out, as he added: “We’re back! What a treat to return to the ballroom with @nadiyabychkova today.
“We have been asked to dance and do a bit of judging at the @burrowstrictlyball in Leeds this weekend. Can’t wait to help raise loads of money at a brilliant event.”
The pair explained that they have been rehearsing for the Charleston, performing a teaser jig for the camera before going into detail about Motor Neurone Disease.
And Dan proudly announced that he had managed not to drop Nadiya in the process of rehearsing.
His BBC Breakfast co-star Sally Nugent, meanwhile, will also be joining the Strictly-style competition as she gets her dancing shoes on for the first time – and Dan and Nadiya will be judging her.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
