Coronation Street lovebirds Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) have finally tied the knot 21 years after their first kiss.
Christmas Day didn’t get off to a good start at Number 9 when Fiz was left disappointed at her present from her partner.
She couldn’t hide the look on her face when she unwrapped a box of chocolates and a keyring.

However, Tyrone shared a secret grin with their daughters Hope (Isabella Flannagan) and Ruby Dobbs (Macy Alabi) as Fiz was oblivious that he’d planned their surprise wedding for later that day.

As the youngsters rushed upstairs to try on their wedding outfits intent on surprising Fiz.
However, things took a turn for the worst when they found a note from Fiz saying she’d gone to pick up a turkey.
In a panic, Tyrone frantically called Fiz’s phone, only to find she’d left it at home.
Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) instructed him to head to the hotel while Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove and Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) waited for the blushing bride.

As if things couldn’t get any worse, Fiz’s car broke down on a country road.
Realising she had no phone, Fiz set off on foot to look for a phone box as Tyrone told the guests it looked like the wedding was off.
Fiz stopped a passing walker, Chris, and explained her predicament.
After a series of unfortunate evenst, Fiz and Tyrone finally became Mr and Mrs Dobbs.

Despite the nuptials, fans all had the same comment when watching the drama unfold.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Is Fiz heading to a turkey farm to slaughter one herself?”
Another added: “So Fiz is driving to an actual turkey farm in the countryside is she?”
A third person posted: “Where on earth is Fiz going to get a turkey on Christmas Day? Ridiculous.”
While a fourth social media user said: “As if you go grab a turkey on Christmas morning. Slack as f***.”
Ty did explain to his wedding guests, however, that Fiz had gone to collect a turkey she’d pre-ordered – though even he could surely agree it was strangely last minute.

It comes after Jennie McAlpine and Alan Halsall were taken on a trip down memory lane as the soap power couple looked back on their first on-screen kiss in 2001.
The soap favourites sat down with their Corrie co-star Colson Smith for ‘Catch Up With Colson’ on Coronation Street’s YouTube channel.
As well as discussing the upcoming romantic Christmas wedding plan, the pair watched some of the key moments from their on screen love story, from their first kiss in 2001 to the festive fight on the cobbles last year.
