Coronation Street fans were completely taken aback when Stu’s big secret was revealed to Yasmeen.
Relaxing in Speed Dahl while looking over the Gazette – which he appeared in -with his partner Yasmeen, Stu had an unexpected visitor arrive in the shape of his ex-wife.
After visiting his daughter Bridget, Stu’s ex arrived on the cobbles to confront the former homeless chef and warn him to “stay away” from the couple’s daughter.

Chatting with her on the staircase of the Indian restaurant in which he works, Yasmeen and her family could see the conversation taking place from across the room.
The conversation got heated, with Stu’s ex revealing to viewers that he had in fact murdered somebody in the past – a Charlie Walters.
Getting up to see what was going on, Stu’s ex warned Yasmeen that she “doesn’t know who he really is”.
After warning him to steer clear of Bridget, his ex fumed: “You’ve served your time, so I don’t want to rake up the past.”
Speaking to Yasmeen after he urged: “I didn’t do it,” but she was having none of it and threw him out in an instant.
Fans have now speculated what will happen between Stu and Yasmeen going forward, with many theorising what Stu might have done, or what his ex might have done.
Taking to Twitter to join in the #Corrie discussion, one fan asked: “I wonder if Stu’s ex has made up that Stu murdered someone so that he can keep away from Bridget?”

Another added: “Stu will have been falsely accused or it was some kind of accident, but they’ll take several episodes to get to that point.”
“Ugh. That infuriating soap thing of Stu not explaining what happened so the storyline will drag on until Yasmeen discovers the truth and takes him back,” echoed a third.
While a fourth theorised: “I reckon Stu was covering for someone. Took the blame.”
