EastEnders fans are certain that Dotty Cotton is catfishing Harvey Monroe by pretending to be his new girlfriend Sophia.
Harvey has become truly smitten with Sophia and believes he has finally found love following his breakup with Jean Slater.
But he has sparked concern amongst close friends Rocky Cotton and Mitch Baker after they found him looking dishevelled in his flat surrounded by dirty plates and messy clothes.

Despite growing distant from his mates, Harvey has insisted Sophia is the real deal and is getting more infatuated with her by the day.
But while Harvey is still unaware, Alfie Moon made Rocky and Mitch realise Sophia isn’t who she says she is and they now want to learn who is doing this and why.

As the pair hunt for the person who is scamming their pal, fans are certain they have already rumbled their identity and took to Reddit with their theories.
One penned: “What if dotty is catfishing as the french woman harvey is talking to.”
Picking up on a telling clue, another user agreed: “I agree, she’s been in almost every scene when they’ve mentioned Sophia and she was on her phone in all of those scenes.”

While others took to Twitter with the same thoughts as one wrote: “People saying Dotty could be Sophia aka the woman Harvey’s chatting with online as a game to mess with him….She was on her phone a lot this episode and it is something dotty would do!”
“Sophia” is definitely dotty please I’m gonna yell. She’s a menace #EastEnders,” added a second.
Another speculated: “Harvey is definitely getting catfished. It’s definitely Dotty.”

While someone else theorized: “@bbceastenders this might be a wild theory, but what if it is Dotty catfishing Harvey? When Kathy said to Rocky look a bit closer to home and Dotty walked in, it made me think.”
As Milly Zero recently confirmed her exit from the BBC soap, another person suggested her involvement could tie in with her exit.
They said: “I think it will be and her exit ends up being her getting disowned by her family.”
The actress, 23, announced earlier this month that she has quit the soap after three years and promised her character “goes out with a bang.”
