Hollyoaks fans are convinced Verity Hutchinson (Eva O’Hara) has put herself in danger after breaking into her brother Eric Foster’s (Angus Castle-Doughty) laptop.
Viewers of the Channel 4 soap are aware that Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) is determined to make the eponymous village a safer place for women in the wake of being attacked on the walk home after a night out.
Despite leaving her friends concerned, Maxine is determined to catch out the village spiker.

Her mission proves successful as she spots the tattoo of the man in the spiking poster and matches it with the one on Eric’s arm – proving that he is the village spiker.

During Tuesday’s first-look episode, Maxine was all smiles as she visits Eric’s trailer with a hidden agenda.
When Verity dragged Maxine and Eric to the gym with her, Maxine struggled to focus with him around, but some wise words from Goldie McQueen (Chelsee Healey) lit a fire under her and she decided to go on a risky mission to gather information.
Maxine sneaked into Eric’s trailer whilst he is at the gym, but Verity caught her in the act and demanded answers.

Furious that Verity doesn’t believe that Eric is the spiker, Maxine rushed to confront Eric in front of everyone, but Verity isn’t the only one who doesn’t believe her.
As a social post of Goldie’s self-defence class got littered with hateful comments, one username forced Verity to question which side she’s on.
A particular nasty comment came from a user who has the nickname her mum used to use for Eric.

Suddenly doubting her brother, Verity did some sleuthing and broke into Eric’s laptop where she found the shocking hate of the Men First group chat.
As she looked at the hateful content, viewers at home were left wondering if she’ll be next on Eric’s hit list or if her brother would shut her up for good in a bid to keep his dark secret.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “I’m glad Verity has found out, but I’m terrified for her when Eric finds out.”
Another added: “OMG What is Eric going to do to Verity.”
A third person said: “I’m worried Eric will kill Verity to keep his secret quiet.”
While a fourth social media user wrote: “So glad Verity is finally getting a really dramatic emotional storyline but scared for her.”
Hollyoaks spoilers have revealed that there’s a shock in store for Eric later this week as he discovers that his laptop is missing.
Eric and Verity search high and low, but has it already landed in the wrong hands?
Meanwhile, Verity begins to have doubts whether she’s doing the right thing.
