Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, 48, opened up about the moment she was nearly kicked out of Spice Girls following a dispute with Victoria Beckham.
Sporty Spice shared the details of the situation in her autobiography, Who I Am: My Story, which was released in stores across the country earlier in the week.
The northern lass revealed that following a night of drinking after the Brit Awards in 1996, she told Posh Spice, Victoria, 48, to “f**k off”.

After making the foul comment, Sporty was told off by Geri, 50, and Mel B, 47, before their new manager Simon Fuller threatened to kick her out of the group.
The remark was made before the Spice Girls released their debut single, Wannabe, as Melanie revealed she was terrified of losing her lifelong dream.
In an extract from the memoir, obtained by the Daily Telegraph, Melanie wrote: “From the minute of me getting the flyer (in 1994) for the audition, being in the band was everything I’d ever dreamt of.
“So any kind of criticism, or like at the BRITS 96 when I had that little fall-out with Victoria, anything that put an element of doubt that I was going to be able to do this thing was more impactful than anyone would realise.”
The singer also opened up about how she was sexually assaulted the night before her first Spice Girls concert.
The star was speaking on novelist Elizabeth Day’s podcast and explained to listeners that the assault took place during a hotel massage in Turkey.
She explained that the assault made her feel “violated, vulnerable and embarrassed”.
She said: “I felt unsure – have I got this right? I was in an environment where you take your clothes off with this professional person.”
The 90s pop star then explained that she “buried” the experience because she wanted to focus on the girl band.

She said: “I didn’t want to make a fuss, but also I didn’t have time to deal with it.
Reflecting on recent times, Mel said: “Even now, in 2022, I live with depression.
“You know, it’s there. I’ve learned very much how to deal with it and cope with it and keep it at bay, but sometimes it can get the better of me.”
