Prince Harry showed that he ‘didn’t care’ about what the palace thought after he jetted off to the States, an expert has claimed.
A grinning Duke of Sussex filmed himself on his and Meghan Markle’s ‘Freedom Flight’ from Canada to California in March 2020, just before the lockdown.
The dramatic family trip was revealed in the latest episodes of their explosive Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan which aired on Thursday (December 15).

But body language expert Inbaal Honigman spotted a tell-tale sign that Harry didn’t care about what the royal family thought during his family’s secret travels.
Honigman took a closer look at the Duke’s facial expressions and body language in the short clip captured from his private jet – and reckoned his smile showed he didn’t care if he got a backlash from the palace.
She said: “A very interesting split second is presented when Harry films himself on the flight out.
“He calls it the ‘freedom flight’ and then does a very cheeky smile, not a smile we see often on this mature father and soldier, this is a childlike smile, as if he knows that this will be badly received by the palace and the public, and he doesn’t care anymore.
“Cheeky Harry is making a guest appearance there! He can envision his whole future of freedom, not just a flight.”
Honigman reckons the clip hammers home how happy Harry is to be gaining control over his life, and that his giggle was a release of all the tension he’s felt during his royal conflict.
She went on: “Harry’s little clip from what he dubs the Freedom Flight shows how happy he is to be gaining control over his life. He’s looking directly at the camera, but when he mentions the Freedom Flight, he looks upwards, a sign of happiness.
“He then releases a cheeky giggle, not just a smile. A whole laughter sound escapes his lips, as his throat releases into that giggle all the tension he’s been feeling.”
At one point in the clip, Harry places his finger on his mouth, and it appears to be a sign that he’s pleased the flight is a secret from the world.
“The whole clip is very cheeky,” Inbaal said.

“Harry is childlike and playful, his smile touches his whole face, and in sharing the shush motion with the camera, forefinger over lips, he’s showing us that it’s a secret, and he’s happy that it’s a secret.
“This tells us that he knows not everyone would be happy with this decision, and he’s absolutely OK about it.”
The Duke and Duchess now live at their Montecito home in California with their son Archie, three, and Lilibet, one.
