Ulrika Jonsson has suggested she might be up for a threesome with two randy strangers, saying “never say never”.
The iconic blonde was among the thousands tuning into Channel 4’s The Great Sex Experiment, which saw couples head to a retreat to explore their relationships and potentially add a third person into their romps.
The Gladiators host said the thought of bringing another person into a healthy relationship, if she was in one, would be “unbearable”.
She said in her Sun column: “The prospect of watching a person I love and care for swing from the chandelier or perform bedroom gymnastics with another person would break me.”
But Ulrika hasn’t completely written off a three-way romp, as she added: “For this old bird, I think I’d just stick to twin in a relationship. Sometimes three is just a messy, emotional, damaging crowd.
“Having said that, never say never.”
Ulrika said she was “fascinated” to watch the new show, which launched on Friday night (April 1), as it explored the fears that participants had within their relationships.
And it wasn’t just the women wanting to explore their sexualities, with Ulrika saying she has seen an increase in men not afraid to admit that they are hetero-flexible or bi-curious.
Things weren’t easy for everyone on the show though, as one couple almost split up after inviting someone else into the bedroom.
Nathan and Mady couldn’t handle the thought of a raunchy romp with a third and it almost made them end things.
But things have completely changed since then – and they’ve even joined a dating app to find someone else to play with.
They also say they’re “stronger than ever”, despite the tough time they experienced on the show.
While Nathan had been excited at the prospect of “more women, more pleasure”, he actually struggled and said he felt like a “spare part”.
He and Mady had an argument which ended in tears but after speaking to a professional on the show, they realised they’d been focusing on Mady’s fears and hadn’t thought of how he might feel.
They went on to have a second threesome, which was more successful, and left the show ready to open things up a little more.
Open House: The Great Sex Experiment airs Fridays at 10pm on Channel 4
