Viewers of The Weakest Link were left totally confused by Strictly Come Dancing star Ugo Monye when he deployed a very unusual tactic during the show.
Ugo joined his celebrity teammates in answering questions on the hit BBC quiz show as host Romesh Ranganathan put them through their paces with his general knowledge questions.
The former rugby player was struggling to think of the answer when he was quizzed on a quote from ’90s Rom Com Jerry Maguire when he stunned viewers by putting on a baffling display.
Putting his sporting prowess to the test Ugo, 38, bizarrely began squatting as he tried to summon up the answer to the question from his mind.

Finding the move baffling viewers took to Twitter to discuss their confusion.
One social media user wrote: “#Theweakestlink why is Ugo doing squats?!”
Another added: “Is Ugo trying to distract us from the fact he just doesn’t know the answer here?”
A third continued: “What is Ugo doing? I don’t understand. Does he need the toilet?”

Another viewer noted: “Ugo is giving some shocking answers #theweakestlink.”
Sadly for Ugo, the squatting wasn’t of much benefit to him as his failure to answer the question correctly led to his fellow contestants giving him the boot and he was voted off as The Weakest Link at the end of the round.
Giving him the push Romesh said: “Ugo, you’ve got an interesting way of trying to squat your way to the answer.”

Seeing the funny side the sports pundit joked: “I’m taking muscle memory to another dimension.”
Ugo then admitted he was dreading checking his phone when people had seen his performance on the show.
He explained: “When you do badly your phone blows up, it goes viral. No doubt I’ll be getting pelters from everyone I played with, family, and everyone in between. “
