Eamonn Holmes has accused Phillip Schofield of “using him” for his coming out episode on This Morning.
The former National treasure appeared on the hit ITV show back in 2020 to make the announcement about his sexuality.
He was joined by co-host at the time Holly Willoughby, Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford.

However, in yet another savage dig at his former ITV colleague, Eamonn has claimed he and Ruth were “used.”
Speaking on GB News, Holmes said: “It was all a bit weird. At that stage though, I believed he was gay and that’s what was coming out and that was the information we were given.
“We were lied to. Ruth and I to this day are embarrassed and ashamed when we see those pictures, when we see the toils that some people who are tortured by their sexuality have to go through and this man was using this as a cover-up for something else.
“So we feel angry about that, we feel used.”
According to Eamonn, he had not been told why Phillip would be sitting with them that day – with the GB news host claiming ITV bosses told him Phillip “had something to say.”
Eamonn then recalled how Phillip came into his dressing gown before going live – where he “fell down to his knees” to announce he was gay.
He said: “He (Phillip) comes into our dressing room, and he falls down on his knees, the acting is amazing, he falls down on his knees crying.
“I said to him, ‘what’s the matter? What’s the matter?’”
After Phillip declared “I’m gay!”, Eamonn said he responded: “Is that all? What is this?”
He also noted that he and wife Ruth were “very, very supportive” of Phillip and told him how they will stand by him.
But Eamonn now reckons the announcement was made due to a “cover up.”
In the tell-all interview, Eamonn also addressed the ‘Queuegate’ scandal surrounding Phillip and Holly Willoughby
When working at This Morning, Phillip and his co-star Holly sparked backlash after they were perceived to be jumping the queue when they paid their respects to the late Queen while she was laying in state.
The pair reassured viewers at the time that they were escorted to a separate press platform at the back of the hall and stressed that they would never have taken someone’s place in the queue.
Speaking about the controversial moment, Eamonn said: “They were there to make a film on the Queen’s funeral. Have you seen the film?
Dan replied: “There was no film was there?”
Eamonn added: “Apparently they were there.”
Dan responded “There was no camera.”
Eamonn conitnued: “Well they were there. That’s the official line given by the editor of the programme that they were there to make a film but unless there’s any documentary evidence of this, I would put it to you that this is another lie.
