GMB’s Ed Balls tells co-star ‘get on with it’ as he’s accused of ‘nodding off’

Good Morning Britain host Ed Balls told co-star Richard Arnold to “keep it going” as Susanna Reid noted that he didn’t seem to care about the ongoing chat.

Richard, 53, had the latest news about Harrison Ford’s final Indiana Jones film, but it was clear that Ed, 56, wasn’t overly interested.

He could be seen leaning his head on his hand, appearing to doze off and not really take in what entertainment correspondent Richard had to say.

Susanna, 52, joked: “Can you see that Ed is gripped?”

Richard joked: “I know, look, he’s nodding off.”

Ed quipped: “Keep it going, can we get to the end of this? Can we get to the entertainment news?”

But Richard quickly told him: “Yes… this is entertainment news.”

He then compared Ed to former Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, saying he had a similar reaction whenever Star Wars was brought up on the ITV show.

Susanna made it clear she was gripped, saying Ed was the only person not entertained by the adventurous movie franchise.

Earlier on, Ed had told Susanna that he found the Indiana Jones movies “dull” – despite their decades-long success.

He also admitted he wasn’t into Star Wars either, much like his predecessor Piers.

“I want love and romance,” Ed said.

He explained that the best film he’d ever seen was Brooklyn, released in 2015 and starring Saoirse Ronan and Emory Cohen.

But it turns out viewers weren’t interested either, with one tweeting: “For once I agree with Ed. Indiana Jones bores me s***less.”

Another said: “Good to see Ed Balls couldn’t give a toss about Indiana Jones either and is looking at a comic.”

While others defended the movies, with one tweeting: “Dull seems a very odd take for a widely regarded greatest adventure films ever made that’s for sure.”

And another said: “What? Ed Balls talking bulls*** as usual, he found Indiana Jones movies ‘a bit dull’. I’m not sure he’s ever watched one.”
