Holly Willoughby ‘still not sure’ if she will do Dancing on Ice – weeks before show starts

Holly Willoughby is still yet to decide whether she will be returning to her usual January job of hosting Dancing on Ice in 2024.

The TV star would normally wrap up the festive season, return to her job on This Morning and join her co-star Phillip Schofield for the skating show. However, after a challenging year, it’s unclear if that will happen just yet.

If Holly does return, it would be without her former co-star Phillip. But following her exit from This Morning after an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her, the decision remains up in the air.

In October, she stepped down from This Morning, but at the time no decision had been made on Dancing on Ice. Now, according to Daily Mail, she’s still deciding whether or not she’ll return to the competition.

It’s reported that ITV have been left waiting to find out if she’ll return to the show alongside Stephen Mulhern. A friend told the publication that Holly is in a “state” about it.

They said: “She absolutely loves ITV, she is loyal to them and they have been extremely loyal to her, but she’s just not sure if she can do it.”

It was added that Holly didn’t want to let anyone down and it’s been the “toughest” decision for her. She’s said to have a fear of hosting live TV after threats were alleged to have been made towards her.

She’s struggled to make the decision regarding her return just yet – but she also hasn’t ruled out returning to the show. Holly did put other commitments on hold to be at home with her children.

Daily Mail also reported that an ITV said they are being incredibly supportive and doing the best they can to help her.

Holly announced her departure from This Morning on October 10 in a statement posted to Instagram. She thanked her fans for being so loyal and said she would miss them all, but had to make a decision for her and her family.

She was immediately inundated with support from her loyal fans and her co-stars showered her with praise as she confirmed her exit. Though a permanent replacement for Holly and Phil is yet to be confirmed.
