Fans of The Masked Singer are convinced Love Island voice-over Iain Stirling is behind the Ghost costume.

But when Ghost appeared on the show, fans seemed to think they knew who it was and headed straight over to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Panellist Jonathan Ross also seemed to think Ghost who also appeared to have a Scottish accent was Love Island’s Iain.

But others seemed to think actor David Tennant could be behind the mask and shared their thoughts on this too.

One fan penned: “Ghost is David Tennant. Immortalised in a drink with a head. TENNANTS!!”

Another echoed: “Ghost is David Tennant surely.”

But the guesses weren’t the only thing that kept viewers at home as some were perplexed with simplicity of Ghost’s costume compared the other contestants.

Heading over to Twitter again, one fan said: “Imagine going on #TheMaskedSinger only to be given a bedsheet as your costume, whooo did the ghost p**s off.”

Another wrote: “I’m thinking the producer’s of #TheMaskedSinger knew ghost is a cert to be out first with that voice, hence the lack of money gone into his costume.”

A third shared: “Imagine agreeing to go on #TheMaskedSinger and being totally excited to see your costume and they show you that ghost get up.”

“Haha all those great costumes and then there’s Ghost in a sheet like my Halloween fancy dress attempts,” a fourth viewer joked.

Unfortunately for Ghost, he was unveiled during the first episode and viewers discovered that it was ex-footballer Chris Kamara was the man behind the mask.

Following the revelation, Chris admitted that his family is a big fan of the show and have been asking him to “take it off”.
