BRIT Awards confirms names of two stars joining Maya Jama in hosting 2024 event

The BRIT Awards has revealed the names of the two presenters joining Maya Jama in hosting the 2024 ceremony next month.

Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo will join the Love Island star on stage at the bash, which takes place on March 2 at London’s O2 arena. It marks the Awards show’s first trio since 2009 – when Kylie Minogue joined Gavin and Stacey duo James Corden and Matthew Horne at the helm.

Last year saw Maya, Roman and Clara join forces for the first time to present coverage on the red carpet, with comedian Mo Gilligan flying solo on presenting duties. They clearly made an impression on the show’s bosses, having been given the opportunity to make the step up.

Delighted by the news, 29-year old Maya said: Maya declared: “I’m really excited to be hosting The Brit Awards alongside Clara and Roman. It’s always one of the best nights of the year for me and a real celebration of British music, culture, and talent.”

A source told the Sun of the triple appointment: “Getting three people hosting the Brits is really retro but bosses think it’ll go down a storm. Maya, Roman and Clara are all very good broadcasters and the Brits are in good hands with them.

“Each of them will have different roles on the night and it’ll keep the ceremony really fresh and upbeat. All three are also well known to the audience at home, so the Brits and ITV think it’s going to work perfectly.”

A third added: “Yes I’m so happy you’re hosting the Brit Awards with Maya Jama, I’m so excited cant wait to watch it love you Roman.” And a fourth simply said: “Can’t wait to watch.”

Public voting is now underway for the five genre award categories. Fans wishing to have their say can do so by selecting their favourite nominee in the Alternative/Rock Act, Dance Act, Hip Hop/Grime/Rap Act, Pop Act, and R&B Act categories via the BRITS’ Instagram account here. This year there are two ways to cast your vote – either by commenting on the category Reel of your choice or by using the pinned post with the unique hashtag (detailed below) for your favourite artist.

In an exciting first, meanwhile, creative fans can also make their own Reel, adding the @BRITs tag and the artists’ hashtags, which count as five regular votes. Each action can be performed once for each artist, per category, per day. Voting closes on February 15 at 6pm. More information on voting, including full terms and conditions, can be found on the BRITs website here.
