Celine Dion put on a brave face for her surprise appearance at the Grammys 2024, while battling an incurable disease.
It’s All Coming Back To Me Now hitmaker Celine, 55, has been forced to take a step back from her singing career in recent months, cancelling her tour as she fights stiff-person syndrome. The rare auto-immune disease causes stiff muscles and greater sensitivity to things like noise and emotional distress, which can then cause spasms.
But Celine looked incredible as she leaned on the arm of her eldest son, Rene-Charles Angelil, who helped her on stage to present the Album of the Year award. The gong went to Taylor Swift for her record Midnights – and the Love Story songstress was visibly emotional at the sight of Celine.

Rocking an oversized wool coat in a camel shade, over a pastel pink gown slashed to her upper thigh, Celina looked stunning with her plunging neckline leaving little to the imagination. She added a chunky silver necklace around her throat with a matching bracelet, and let her brunette tresses cascade down her shoulders.
For make-up, the star swiped on a pale pink pout and gold eyeshadow, with a hint of blush at the apples of her cheeks. She was all smiles as she cuddled up to Taylor Swift after her time on stage, and looked proud of the singer when she scooped her award.
Taking to the podium, Dion told the audience: “Thank you, all! I love you right back. You look beautiful. When I say I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart. Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.
“And now it gives me great joy to present a Grammy Award that two legends Diana Ross and Sting presented to me 27 years ago. These are the outstanding nominees for Album of the Year.” Shortly after, Taylor made Grammys history by taking away her fourth win of the title.
It comes hot on the heels of Celine’s new documentary announcement. The singer is set to chronicle her fight against stiff-person syndrome in I Am: Celina Dion, which has involved more than a year of filming.
